 What is the process of DNA splitting into two separate cells?

Cell division is a fundamental process that allows living organisms to grow, develop, and repair damaged tissues. In metaphase, chromosomes align at the cell's equator, preparing for separation.Anaphase marks the actual separation of chromosomes, as sister chromatids are pulled towards opposite poles of the cell by spindle fibers. Telophase sees the formation of two distinct nuclei at each pole, concluding the nuclear division phase. While mitosis ensures the accurate distribution of genetic material, cytokinesis follows to divide the remaining cellular components. In animal cells, a contractile ring of actin and myosin filaments forms, pinching the cell membrane and creating two separate daughter cells.In plant cells, a structure called the cell plate forms along the equator, gradually developing into a new cell wall that divides the cell. This meticulous process ensures that both daughter cells receive a complete set of organelles and cytoplasm. The end result is the creation of two genetically identical cells, each equipped to function independently.
